Presentation
The Workshop on Experimental Research into the Future Internet (WPEIF) has as its objectives to provide a forum for discussions and the exchange of information, knowledge and experiences concerning experimental research related to future networks, especially Future Internet, and to promote experimental research into this theme within the national computer networking community.
The 1st WPEIF is one of the workshops to be held during the 28th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC2010), which will take place in Gramado, RS.
Program
The WPEIF will last for two days. The first day will be dedicated to a theoretical and practical tutorial on OpenFlow, given by members of the OpenFlow project team from Stanford University in the US. For the practical part, each participant should bring a notebook with WiFi access or an available USB port, in order to load the software to be used.
The second day will be dedicated to presentations about existing and proposed network infrastructure in Brazil for carrying out experimental research into Future Internet, and current research activities in Brazil and elsewhere, as well as demonstrations of some of the results of such experimental research. A concluding panel discussion on the theme of the workshop will complete the event.
For this first edition of WPEIF, presentations and demonstrations will be by invitation of the program committee.
